weekend happenings

*it rained all day saturday, mark had to work, and taylor hung out with nonnie + papa.  so zoey and i stayed cozy and warm inside – singing silly songs, eating pears, pooping in our pants, chewing on anything we could get in our mouth, drinking tea, and painting our nails.  some of those things she did, some things only i did…

later that evening, mark and i celebrated st patty’s day with ice-cold beer in frosty glasses.  i listed a few items in the shop and we watched a little tv. 

*sunday, i visited a friend and her new baby while mark and zoey skyped with family.  then my dad came over to hold down the fort while mark and i went out to dinner.  alone.  just us adults.  no kids.  mark splashed on a little cologne and i shaved my legs.  it was a big deal. 

i had a lemon drop martini and he enjoyed a {manly} long island iced tea.  we ate sliders and french fries and chased it all down with coffee and dessert.  we splurged. 

and you’d think that date night would end with a little hanky panky, right?  nope.  you’re wrong.  we couldn’t wait to get home, slip into our elastic waist pajama pants and watch the season finale of the walking dead.  the only heavy breathing that came from our bedroom was me trying to pull my skinny jeans off.  and ps. the finale was so good…i wanted a cigarette afterward. 

it was a good weekend. 

i have a few things planned this week…a giveaway, a shop update, and perhaps an outfit post.  gasp!
