chicago trip // day three

vest – h+m // dress – nordstrom // clutch – vintage, thrift

a year ago last sunday, mark and i drove to ventura and said our vows under flourescent lights, in a cubicle, at the courthouse.  we laughed, we cried, we got marriedour first meal as mr & mrs was from in n out, our wedding “cake” a selection of cupcakes from sweet arlene’s.  then we sat in horrendous friday afternoon traffic as we drove up the coast to beautiful cambria, ca.  we spent the weekend getting massages, lounging in our king sized bed, going for walks along the beach and just enjoying our we time.  i get all teary when i talk about my relationship with mark – how much it means to me, how much i love him, how well we fit – so if you want to read our story…here it is

happy 1st anniversary to us!

our last day in chicago was pretty uneventful.  we slept in til the last possible check out minute, then drove back to mark’s parents and back to our little nugget of joy.  oh how i missed her!  she was happy to see us, too – hugs and kisses and snuggles all around.  {taylor stayed in california.}

1. romancin’ it up to old school tunes.
2. my anniversary gift!
3. mark’s mom has an incredible collection of japanese dishes, tea sets, etc – she gave us a few pieces as our anniv gift!
4. happy baby.

and that wraps it up.
thanks for following along.

happy friday, friends!
