when i was in my twenties and going out with my girlfriends nearly every weekend {read:  i was single}, my shopping habits were out of this world ridiculous – a woman on the prowl simply cannot be seen in the same outfits from weekend to weekend {as if!}  needless to say, my wardrobe grew and grew.  soon, it was overflowing with cheap buys and inexpensive trends, worn like bad mating calls…never to be flaunted again.  eventually, many of those items were sent to the local thrift store or sold in garage sales.  over the last several years i’ve purchased a few trendy pieces here and there, but overall i try to add items that have staying power…  items that will transition easily from work to play or from day to night.
